OUR HEAVY HAUL PROJECT

7 DAYS | 1,344 MILES | 3 ESCORTS | 2 HIGHWAY PATROL | 5 ROUTE SURVEYS
Our client's previous transportation provider backed out of a heavy haul project. They needed another provider to move an 83-ft vessel across the country and JoLo delivered. Click the video below to check out one of our most recent heavy haul projects!

THE CHALLENGE
Our client was in a pinch whenever their previous transportation provider backed out of a heavy haul project. Upon recommendation, they looked to our team and tasked us with moving an 83-foot tank coming in at 88,000 pounds across the country from McGregor, TX to Lowellville, OH. Because the average flatbed trailer ranges between 48-53 feet and should weigh no more than 48,000 pounds, this was not a simple or average haul. In addition to being over-dimensional, we knew that a haul of this nature would produce extremely wide turns, which can be a danger to others on the road, especially in urban areas with tight turns. An alternate route would have to be mapped out for areas in which the haul exceeds the weight limit or height limit to avoid treelines and low overpasses. In true JoLo fashion, our team made this challenging heavy haul super simple.

THE SOLUTION
The JoLo team immediately got to work and started designing a customized solution specifically for this operation. With our robust network of over 20K trusted carrier partners, we quickly found a driver and the equipment necessary to get the job done. The haul didn't begin until we completed 5 route surveys to confirm the safety, legality, and efficiency of the route. The project was completed through the collaboration of 1 driver, 3 escorts, 2 highway patrols, and our brokerage team. Covering the 1,344 miles took 7 days, and the tank was delivered safely and without error.
